Digital Ayur-Life Assistant
As a first-year Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) student, I quickly realized a massive gap. We are learning profound truths about the human body—like Agni (digestive fire) and Dinacharya (daily routine)—but most people in the real world are struggling with modern lifestyle diseases.
From "tech-neck" caused by staring at phones, to severe indigestion caused by erratic eating habits, our modern routines are directly clashing with our natural biology. I wanted to create a simple way to introduce Ayurvedic preventive care (Swasthavritta) to the average person.
The Solution: A Personalized Mini-Assessment
Instead of overwhelming people with complex Sanskrit terms, what if we just asked them how they feel? I created this Digital Lifestyle Assistant prototype. It takes basic principles of Kriya Sharir (Physiology) and translates them into actionable, kitchen-based advice.
"Swasthasya Swasthya Rakshanam" - The primary goal of Ayurveda is to preserve the health of the healthy.

How It Works Behind the Scenes
The quiz above uses fundamental concepts from my first-year syllabus:
- Assessing Agni: The digestion question helps identify if your digestive fire is Manda (sluggish), Tikshna (sharp/acidic), or Vishama (irregular).
- Dinacharya Alignment: The sleep question looks at how closely you align with Brahma Muhurta (waking before sunrise).
- Vata Aggravation: The screen-time question addresses modern postural habits that aggravate Vata dosha in the cervical region (neck and shoulders).
I hope you enjoyed this small project! Small, mindful changes to our daily routine can create massive shifts in our long-term health.
